There’s a New (up to $600) Tax Deduction for 2021! PTCC Qualifies!

Giving produces WAYYYYYYY more happy chemicals than getting.

Did you know we are also a part of a non-profit? It’s a public charity, 501c3 called Pine Trees Counseling Center who’s mission is to provide veterans, first responders, and their families with animal therapy, group therapy, and traditional individual counseling that is also offered to our Hope Place clients. There is a sliding scale used to help this people group pay for services through PTCC. They rely solely on donations, and this year for 2021 there’s an additional benefit for tax payers!!

CNBC reports, “Taxpayers eyeing a year-end charitable donation may take advantage of a special write-off for cash gifts in 2021, even if they don’t itemize deductions on their federal tax return.

For 2021, single filers may claim a tax break for cash donations up to $300 and married couples may get up to $600, according to the IRS, an extended coronavirus relief measure from 2020.

Since most Americans don’t have enough itemized write-offs to exceed the standard deduction, it’s been difficult to claim the charitable deduction, Harris explained, but the 2021 extension may offer a “nice tax break” for non-itemizers.”

What Do You Need To Do??

  • Choose an organization that meets the requirements as a non-profit. You can search the organization you’d like to donate to on the IRS website - HERE. Pine Trees Counseling Center is on that list located in Mansfield, Texas.

  • Give a cash donation.

  • Get your receipt! If you decide to donate to PTCC, paypal will send you a receipt. Keep it on file! You’ll give it to your CPA or use it when you file your taxes.

Thank you for continuing to support Pine Trees through your goat yoga participation and monthly donations. We have the best community, and we are all thankful for your contributions.

Choose an organization or mission that is close to your heart and donate. Giving produces WAYYYYYYY more happy chemicals than getting. Choose Happy.
