Do you know what the FAIR Health Consumer says about your medical costs?
So you’ve called all the therapists on your insurance panel and no one is accepting new clients and if they are; they’re booked months out. The frustration is real, and you’re probably feeling exhausted, anxious, and perhaps even defeated.
We get it! Finding the right therapist shouldn't feel this overwhelming! At The Hope Place, we believe you deserve accessible, quality mental health care, without the runaround or endless waiting lists. We understand how vital timely support and access is, especially when you're ready to take the brave step toward personal growth and healing. While using your insurance panel might seem like the most straightforward option, did you know there could be surprising advantages to private-pay therapy options?
Here’s what makes The Hope Place and other private pay facilities different:
Immediate Availability: We offer flexible scheduling and can typically see new clients within days, not months.
Personalized Care: Without the constraints of insurance requirements, our therapists have more freedom to tailor therapy specifically to your individual needs.
Enhanced Privacy: Private pay therapy means your therapy remains completely confidential, without detailed reporting to insurance companies.
I personally find insurance companies to be a little sketchy. If you’d like to read more about why Hope Place doesn’t take insurance, you can read “The Real Reasons Hope Place Does Not Accept Insurance.”
Feeling uncertain about affordability? How much should it cost anyway?
We frequently review our rates and compare them with the FAIR Market Consumer, which is an independent, national nonprofit organization known for providing fair and neutral information regarding healthcare costs for consumers just like you! For example in our zip code of 76063 for Mansfield, Tx - it costs about $202 for an hour of psychotherapy. As much as 20% of other therapists charge more than $202 per hour. Maybe you have insurance though, and you’d like to use your out of network benefits?
This is an estimate of what your costs might be as of May 2025:
Out of pocket expenses could be as little as $61 for a session after filing per the screenshot above. Pretty cool, huh?? Please note though that not every insurance plan offers out of network benefits.
Each of our therapists set their own rates. As of May 2025 we range between $75 to $195 per session. We offer transparent pricing, and provide a clear Good Faith Estimate with your intake documents so you'll always know exactly what to expect financially. Your therapist can also provide you with something called a superbill that you can use to file for out of network benefits that might be owed to you. We even display our available appointments online and provide you with online intake documents so that you can schedule your appointment anytime you want!
Our mission is to remove barriers, not create them.
You don't have to wait for the care you need. At The Hope Place, your mental health is our priority and we want to make it easy to budget and book with us. To learn more about the services we offer check these out here!
