Is Occupational Therapy right for you?

Occupational therapy helps you move beyond symptoms to confidently engage in the daily activities that make life meaningful.

  • OT helps you develop skills like -personal hygiene, meal planning and preparation, medication management, sleep routines, and maintaining a living space. When depression makes getting out of bed difficult or anxiety interferes with grocery shopping, occupational therapists help develop strategies with the client.

  • Activities that are about helping people return to employment, develop job-seeking skills, manage workplace stress, or explore vocational alternatives when their mental health affects their ability to work.

Occupational therapists help someone with social anxiety practice interview skills or assist someone with bipolar disorder in developing workplace coping strategies.

  • Social participation and relationships is about identifying how mental health conditions are impacting how people connect with others, working on communication skills, helping someone re-engage with family relationships, or supporting participation in community activities.

Occupational therapy focuses on building the skills and strategies you need for everyday life. Instead of only talking about challenges, OT uses meaningful activities to help you practice real-world skills and find joy again in the things that matter most.

Sessions are available in office or in homes depending on their location.

Sessions could include things like:

  • Creating daily routines that support mental wellness (sleep, meal prep, personal care)

  • Using art, movement, or outdoor activities for stress relief and emotional regulation

  • Practicing executive functioning skills (planning, organizing, problem-solving)

  • Building confidence in social interactions and relationships

  • Supporting return-to-work skills, job readiness, and workplace coping strategies

Cost for Occupational Therapy with The Hope Place

Sessions are not covered by insurance at this time. The rate for OT varies depending on the location that the therapy will take place.

Generally, rates are $175 per hour.

Our OT does not want the cost of services to be a barrier of treatment for our clients. Please contact her if the cost is a concern for you.
