Rachel Malquist LPC-S
Founder & Clinical Director
As the founder of The Hope Place, I am passionate about creating a compassionate and transformative space for serving others. With a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University and over a decade of experience in trauma-informed care, I specialize in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help individuals break free from the effects of trauma and other struggles.
I have dedicated my career to studying trauma and the effect it has on family members. I offer consults to other professionals who are struggling to understand complex trauma, PTSD, ritual child abuse, and dissociative identity disorder.
My mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities by providing high-quality mental health care that fosters resilience, hope, freedom, and lasting change. At The Hope Place, we are dedicated to lowering mental health symptoms, offering contract therapists with advanced training, and encouraging change within the therapy community.
As a Christian wife, mother, and business leader, I am committed to stewardship, both financially and spiritually, ensuring that The Hope Place operates with integrity and sustainability. I strive to create a thriving practice where therapists meet their financial goals while making a profound impact on the lives of those we serve.

Rachel is passionate about seeing clients who are skeptical about therapy or who have never been to therapy before, because they “don’t want to talk about it.” She encourages you to see if her techniques are different and more helpful than you expected.
